Florida swamp murders can be the first one. I suggest going for episodic format and releasing the cases separately, so we can keep the fans interested. As for Rubber Pants Commandos: we'll see where we can put them.

There can be some legends of a swamp monster, and some people would believe the monster is behind the murders. Can be a bit similar to Scooby-Doo mysteries. Yeah this idea come to me when i saw the swamp idea.

One of the cases can involve either a stolen Hollywood award (so Sam & Max will be present at the award night and meet movie characters from different genres) or a valuable prize in Las Vegas casino. I also suggest that we use Mack Salmon in the first case (probably in the "urban area") as one of the suspects, and he is in his normal form (possibly human). Later he turns out to be innocent and the detectives catch the true culprit, but in the process of investigation they accidentally turn Mack into his current state. He vows revenge on them and orchestrates the other three crimes. At the end of the fourth case Sam & Max either get hit on the heads or have their memory partly erased by some device, so they forget how they turned Mack into a fishbowl-head. We could call it "Sam & Max: The Lost Case", "Sam & Max: The Forgotten Mystery" or something like that.

I'm unsure it can be that easy and short, because it involves Mack's transformation and have to include at least one more suspect (the one who will be the actual criminal).

As long as we're discussing an alligator monster, why don't we give it some big lips... that way, Sam and Max would end up having a Big-Lipped Alligator Moment?
Hey, I frequent TV Tropes a lot.
